Our transcription pricing is pay-as-you-go: buy prepaid minutes for the projects you have, with no subscription or monthly fee. Rates run from $0.50/hour on the largest pack. Unused minutes carry forward, and your first 30 minutes are free.

Pay for what you use
Pay as you go, no subscription. Minutes stay valid for a year – any transcription or purchase renews all of them.
What the workflow includes
- Speaker labels on every transcript.
- Transcript editor with segment edits, speaker rename, tags, find and replace, and revert.
- Your first Insights run is free and includes cleanup — a fully rewritten Cleaned transcript — in the same pass. Regenerating later costs minutes.
- Saved dictionaries, saved prompt presets, one-off keyterms, one-off custom prompts, speaker detection, and multichannel controls. Optional medical mode and translation targets show additional billed minutes before upload.
- All 21 export formats (TXT, SRT, VTT, CSV, TSV, Markdown, HTML, RTF, XML, JSON, DOCX, PDF, XLSX, ODS, ODT, ASS, TTML, SBV, LRC, FCPXML, or EDL), plus password-protected .husharchive, with no watermark.
- Privacy controls by default: audio deletion, encrypted transcript storage, retention settings, and private mode for password-protected archive results without saved transcripts.
- Completed purchases include a stable receipt number and a downloadable PDF payment receipt in Billing.
- No plan-based daily/monthly allowance. Recordings can run up to 10 hours, with no file-size limit – large video and audio are prepared in the browser. Service safeguards apply.

- Want to regenerate later? That uses minutes from your balance — 40% of the recording's length to start over from the Original, or 30% to refresh from your Cleaned version — shown before you confirm.
- Review cleanup in the Cleaned tab and apply only the changes you approve.
- A few options add billed minutes before you start: medical mode doubles the billed minutes for that file, and each translation target adds a quarter of the transcript's length.

How does the referral program work?

Can I download a receipt for a minute purchase?
Yes. Completed purchases appear in Billing with a stable receipt number and a downloadable Hushscript payment receipt. It confirms the recorded payment and is not a tax invoice.
How much does a minute cost?
From about $0.008 on the largest pack, up to ~$0.044 on the starter. The bigger the pack, the lower the rate.
How do I get my 30 free minutes?

Is there a subscription?
No. You only ever pay for packs you choose to buy.
Do Insights use my transcription balance?
No. Transcription, medical mode, and selected translation targets can use minutes; the complete Insights result uses none.

Can I get a refund?
No. Minutes are delivered to your balance instantly at purchase, so all sales are final and non-refundable except where the law gives you a non-waivable right. Failed transcriptions return their minutes automatically, and the 30 free minutes let you test the quality before you buy. Genuine billing errors are always corrected: support@hushscript.com.
